Daniel Edler Duarte
Biografia
Daniel is a FAPESP postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Sociology, University of São Paulo (USP), and a research assistant at USP’s Center for the Study of Violence (NEV). Previously, he was a CAPES/Pró-Defesa research fellow at the Brazilian Naval War College (EGN) and a Konrad Adenauer Fellow in European Studies at the Getulio Vargas Foundation (CPDOC/FGV). Daniel received his PhD from the Department of War Studies, King’s College London (KCL). His current research investigates the making and implementation of new security technologies in Brazil, including biometric surveillance and predictive policing software.
